CPRF

About

The Chanakya Policy & Research Foundation (CPRF) is an independent, youth-led public policy think tank based in India, committed to advancing informed policy discourse through rigorous research, dialogue, and capacity building. Registered as a non-profit organisation under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, CPRF works across governance, foreign policy, strategic affairs, political economy, national development, and education policy.

Established in October 2024, CPRF serves as a platform connecting scholars, policymakers, practitioners, and young leaders to address contemporary policy challenges and contribute to evidence-based decision-making. Through research publications, policy dialogues, conferences, and leadership initiatives, the Foundation seeks to foster informed debate and cultivate the next generation of public policy professionals.

Vision

The CPRF envisions an intellectually self-reliant and strategically confident India that contributes to global and domestic discourse through perspectives rooted in its own civilizational wisdom and contemporary policy scholarship. Drawing inspiration from India’s Knowledge System, characterised by holistic inquiry, ethical governance, and knowledge traditions such as Arthashastra, Nyaya, and Dharma-based public reasoning, the foundation seeks to strengthen India-centric analytical frameworks for addressing modern challenges.

Mission

At the Chanakya Policy & Research Foundation (CPRF), our mission is to produce rigorous, policy-oriented research and create inclusive platforms that connect academia, government, industry, civil society, and young leaders. We are committed to advancing evidence-based policymaking while fostering informed public dialogue on issues of national and global significance. CPRF promotes multidisciplinary research, critical inquiry, experiential learning, and the integration of India’s intellectual traditions with contemporary policy thinking. Through research publications, conferences, policy dialogues, training programmes, and leadership initiatives, we seek to make public policy more accessible and encourage meaningful youth participation in governance.
