Lt. General Vinod G Khandare

Lt Gen Vinod Khandare was Military Advisor in the National Security Council Secretariat under the Prime Minister’s Office (2018-2021). He was Director General, Defense Intelligence Agency and Deputy Chief, Integrated Defence Staff for Intelligence (2015-2018). Lt Gen Khandare served in the Indian Army for nearly four decades. Serving in Infantry, he excelled in challenging terrain, sectors, operational roles in Siachen, Jammu and Kashmir, Sikkim and North East region. For his exemplary service and commitment, Lt Gen Khandare has been awarded the Sena Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card and the Param Vishisht Seva Medal. He is an expert on Conventional Operations, Sub Conventional Counter Terrorism Operations, Information Warfare, Conflict Prevention and Peace Keeping Operations. Lt. Gen Khandare has first-hand experience in Strategic, Operational and Tactical Intelligence generation, fusion, analysis and dissemination. He is a keen analyst of International World Order, Comprehensive National Security, Defence and Governance Sector.

Dr. Rahul Mishra

Dr Rahul Mishra is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Indo-Pacific Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India, and a Senior Research Fellow at the German-Southeast Asian Center of Excellence for Public Policy and Good Governance, Thammasat University, Bangkok, Thailand. Prior to this, he was Director of the Centre for ASEAN Regionalism Universiti Malaya (CARUM), and Coordinator, the European Studies Programme at the Asia-Europe Institute, Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
 
His previous stints include the Foreign Service Institute (Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India), East-West Centre in Washington D.C., Institute for Defence Studies & Analyses (IDSA), New Delhi, Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), and S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Singapore.

Dr. Mishra specialises in politico-security affairs of the Indo-Pacific region, and the role of major and middle powers, especially in the context of China’s rise and emergence of minilaterals in the region. He also lectures on government, politics, and ethnic dynamics of Southeast and East Asian region, ASEAN-EU regionalism, comparative regionalism, and India’s Indo-Pacific engagement.
 
He has over 300 op-eds, 5 books, and more than 100 media interviews to his credit.
He has been a columnist with Deutsche Welle, Germany, and has published with the Japan Times, Financial Times, Channel NewsAsia, New Straits Times, Jakarta Post, Asia Times, Indian Express, Manila Times, The Sunday Guardian, Deccan Herald, The Star (Malaysia, Kenya), ASPI (Australia), RUSI (London), Lowy Institute, and, Mint, etc., and appeared on news media including the BBC, Deutsche Welle, CCTV, Channel NewsAsia, Phoenix TV, CNBC, Astro Awani, Bernama, etc.

Dr Mishra is the Book Series Editor of Palgrave Series in Indo-Pacific Studies, Palgrave Macmillan, United Kingdom. Dr. Rajiv Ranjan

Dr. Ranjan teaches Chinese politics, foreign policy, and research methodology and previously served as a Research Fellow at the Indian Council of World Affairs, Sapru House, New Delhi, an institution of national importance. He holds a Ph.D. in Chinese Studies from the Centre for East Asian Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He is the lead editor of China and South Asia: Changing Regional Dynamics, Development, and Power Play (Routledge, 2022) and co-authored 《现代东方国家的变革》 (Jinan University Press, 2020). Dr. Ranjan was also a Visiting Senior Scholar at the School of Political Science and Public Administration, Shandong University, Jinan, under a joint scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), India, and the China Scholarship Council (CSC), China. His research interests include government and politics in China, Chinese foreign policy, China and the world order, ancient Chinese philosophy and strategic thought, BRICS, and climate change. His research has been published in leading journals such as India Review, India Quarterly, Economic and Political Weekly (EPW), Critical Sociology, Millennium: Journal of International Studies, Contemporary International Relations, Political Studies Review, China Report, Global Environmental Change, International Affairs, and Strategic Analysis. His commentaries and opinion pieces have also appeared in prominent publications including The Indian Express, Hindustan Times, ThePrint, Madras Courier, Prabhat Khabar, The Diplomat, China-India Brief, Scroll, South China Morning Post, and Firstpost.

Dr. Haans J Freddy

Dr. Haans J Freddy is Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science, Madras Christian College. He teaches International Relations and Political thought. His research focuses on International conflicts, strategic studies and his works have appeared in print in through leading publishers. He received his PhD in Political Science at the North Eastern Hill University where he examined the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka and its consequences on human rights practices in the northern and eastern provinces of the country. Dr. Freddy was a fellow if the Indian Council of Social Science research during the years 2014-2015. As a fellow he worked on youth rights in north east India which is now available as a pivot in Palgrave Macmillan. In the year 2011 Dr. Freddy received training in Administrative Management in the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Tokyo. Later in the Year 2013 he was awarded a Visiting Fellowship by the Yunnan University of Finance and Economics and in the same year he was also awarded the Post-Doctoral Fellowship by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Dr. Freddy’s recent works examine the politics of great powers and how competition and rivalries have emerged between emerging powers and the great powers in the world. His works examine status as an important factor in world politics and how nations have begun to compete for status in their quest for influence in global governance. His works have been published through the Economic and Political Weekly and other leading journals published by Sage and Taylor and Francis. Dr. Freddy’s ‘deo volente is to engage in high quality research and to initiate collaborative endeavors with national and international research cohorts which he believes will provide synergy into his areas of research.

Dr. Archana Mishra

Dr. Archana Mishra is Vice Principal (Arts) and Faculty in the UG Department of History at Jai Hind College, Mumbai. With 25+ years in teaching and leadership, she has taught History at PG level for two years. She teaches Contemporary World History, Contemporary India, Early India, Foreign Policy, and Research. She has coordinated certificate courses in International Relations and visiting student programs with Carleton University and the Bluebridge US Consortium at Jai Hind College. She has organized International and National conferences, workshops, and National seminars, Faculty Development Programs in collaboration with IIT Bombay and ICSSR and launched several skill-based courses at the college before and under NEP. As HOD, Vice Principal, and Criteria Head in IQAC, she strengthened research and industry collaborations and linkages passionately. She has led the Arts Stream and BVoc in Travel & Tourism Management and built industry and government linkages through MoUs, internships, placements, and programs with the Government of India and various Ministries. She has coordinated Jai Hind College students’ visiting program to Sciences Po Paris and organized online learning programs with Griffith University Australia.

Dr. Bishnu Satapathy

Dr. Bishnu Satapathy holds an M.A. from Jawaharlal Nehru University (Centre for Political Studies), as well as an M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Delhi. He qualified the UGC-NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and has published more than 17 research articles in reputed books and journals, including publications of the University of Delhi. With over seven years of teaching experience before joining Shivaji College in August 2010, he has also been associated with postgraduate teaching in Political Science at the School of Open Learning, University of Delhi, since 2005. Dr. Satapathy has presented research papers at numerous national and international seminars, delivered over 15 radio talks on All India Radio, Delhi, and conducted lectures for UPSC Allied Services trainees at the Directorate of Training, Karkarduma, on contemporary political issues. He has contributed to the academic evaluation process by setting question papers for B.A. (Hons.) and B.A. (Programme) Political Science courses at the University of Delhi. As the Principal Investigator, he successfully completed a University of Delhi Innovation Project (Code: SHC-209) from 2013 to 2015 on Women Empowerment in the Age of Globalisation: A Case Study of Amritsar, Sri Ganganagar and Rohtak. He has also served as a Subject Expert in Political Science for confidential work at the SET Cell of the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, Indore. His areas of specialization include Indian Government and Politics, Political Theory, Classical and Modern Political Philosophy, and International Relations.

Mr. Rajeev Kr. Yadav

Mr. Rajeev Kumar Yadav holds an M.Phil. in Political Science from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, and has qualified the UGC-NET. He was formerly associated with the Department of Political Science at Jamia Millia Islamia as a Research Scholar, where he pursued research on the politics, governance, and socio-political dynamics of India’s North Eastern region.

With over 10 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level, Mr. Yadav has served as a distinguished Resource Person for Political Science at various educational institutions. His academic interests include political theory, Indian politics, North East India, and civic education. He is committed to fostering critical thinking and strengthening political awareness among young learners through engaging and learner-centric pedagogy.
